Standard Warranty
iPods have a standard 12 month warranty which will cover any defects and faults, however this does not cover accidental damage. Consumers have additional protections under Australian Consumer Law that may provide for a longer warranty period. You can use the Coverage Checker on Apple’s website to see if this might be the case.
The cost is significantly lower if only the battery needs replacing. However, please note that if you have a third party (non-Apple) screen installed, that the Accidental Damage pricing applies.
AppleCare Protection Plan
If your iPod is covered by AppleCare, you are covered for up to two incidents of accidental damage with an Apple service fee of $65. Your battery is also covered for replacement if it is retaining less than 80% of the original capacity.
If you are unsure whether you have AppleCare on your device, you can use the Coverage Checker on Apple’s Website
If your repair is not covered by AppleCare+ or via the standard warranty there is the option to replace the entire unit at a flat cost. We’re able to handle that process for you without any shipping costs involved.
Replacements provided by Apple may be new or equivalent to new in both performance and reliability.
